It’s been a quite blustery week for brand Beckham, consisting of world famous ex- footballer David Beckham and his wife, Victoria “Posh” Beckham, due to David’s email scandal which has tarnished his once squeaky clean image, over his behavior after being denied a knighthood (OBE) by the Queen Committee. “Yes” brand Beckham has taken an evident hit with David’s choice words, as was seen in email format within response to not being named a “Sir” and now we wonder if he ever will? After expletive words used in this phrase, “Unless it’s a knighthood, f*** off!”.
That’s proper English, you might say? And, David Beckham had his reasons for becoming upset in the first place, after being on the U.K. Olympic committee and being involved in various other instances, when he had used his image to promote other causes, despite “no doubt” usually not costing him a penny or even sometimes making some big money out of it (minus any charity work).
So, how do we feel about David Beckham’s emails? We’re just not sure, but Victoria Beckham has been seen to be a little grumpy recently and she was also caught up in Snow Storm Chris today in New York City, “as if life couldn’t get any harder for these two people, right now?”
In the David Beckham hacking incident, worth its weight in gold to brand Beckham, seemingly David Beck’s PR guru, Simon Oliveira, with his firm’s headquarters down in Portugal, may have been the source of the hack, as only a taster of what’s in these emails, has been revealed to the public, so far. This cache of leaked emails is said to be a total of 18.6 million emails, communications and documents, collected over a period of three years and which is now being referred to as “Beckileaks”. “My word”, what else could be coming next, you might ask?
David Beckham had called the Honours Committee, “unappreciative c**ts”, after deeming him not fit for a ‘Knighthood’, partly because of some of brand Beckham’s clever tax avoidance in business deals, which saw him being denied the honor of being called a “Sir”, apparently..
David Beckham had also complained in the email leaks about how singer, Katherine Jenkins was given an OBE in 2014, saying that it was “a f*cking joke” that she ever achieved the status, after she had taken cocaine and he gladly pointed this out in his email to the PR firm. David was not happy.
Beckham wrote, “Katherine Jenkins OBE for what? Singing at the rugby and going to see the troops plus taking coke? F*cking joke.
David had devoted his time to charitable causes and he felt that he was more deserving of the same honor, where as now many presume that he was doing his charity work, in order to qualify in a pole position for an OBE. Even, emails leaked revealed that all photos on his Istargam account should be geared to earning him a knighthood. Clever marketing, indeed, but not so clever when your PR Guru gets hacked.
This UK media witch-hunt on brand Beckham has seemingly already begun, but perhaps, David Beckham has a point to his argument? But, should this now be addressed as a huge debacle or should everyone just come terms with that even “celebrities” like to write the word “f*ck” and “c*nt” in their emails as well, especially to their PR gurus, respectively?
Why not? It’s their job to listen to “sh*t”, but unfortunately this sh*t has now hit the fan; with these emails being leaked and there’s already a police investigation on the way, down in Portugal. Which sounds like it might take a long while yet, you know?
The question now is what’s the source of the leak and who did it? Well, the information was obtained through Football Leaks and the news spread on Euro publications, such as Der Spiegel, L’Equipe and El Mundo and since then David Beckham has been seen with an anxiety of sorts, all over his face.
David has defended the released and brief statements, saying that he was just very disappointed by not receiving a knighthood. In David’s world, maybe he has the reason to feel that way, after doing charity work through the years and maybe it shouldn’t be blown all out of proportion in this way? Or maybe it should? What do you think, please tell us in our comments section?
The leaked emails also highlighted how David Beckham who is worth an estimated £280 million, complained about being approached by Unicef’s ambassador relations manager, Chloe Edwards about contributing cash. In one email, he wrote: “Chloe asked me outright which I was pissed off about. I don’t want to do it and won’t do it with my own money”.
Beckham’s Unicef 7 fund has raised £4.3million since its launch in 2015, money that has been used to support children all over the world. Yes, you see with Brand Beckham, lots of good work had been done in raising money for children, with lending his image and in doing celebrity philanthropic work.
Victoria Beckham has been looking “glum” too, in recent weeks and even over the years; there have been stories of a rift in the marriage with rumors that they could head for divorce, one day.
Who knows? But, hopefully they will stick this out together and carry on with Brand Beckham. Let’s not speculate on this one, but do tell us what you think?
David Beckham was seen going to the gym today in London, where it’s got very cold and Victoria was papped in a snowstorm wearing sunglasses in New York City, with the incoming snowstorm, called “Chris”.
Victoria will be snowed in and she will probably stay grounded there and she definitely won’t be catching a flight out of there in that weather, whilst David will no doubt be in talks with his PR team down in Portugal. “Muito Obrigado”.
And, how was your week? But, if you got that much money in the bank, why worry about anything? You should be laughing, mate. “Curry’s, no worries”.
