After ten years since the last Call of Duty World War II themed game with COD 2, Call of Duty have returned to the classic inspiration for the game franchise, after a fan backlash from the very futuristic ‘Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare‘ last November, made official with this game trailer that was just released on April 26th from Activsion and Sledgehammer games, and now gaming fans are beyond excited for Call of Duty: WWII
Yes, the brutal warfare of World War II will serve up a new generation of gamers to a history lesson, plus endless gameplay of rifle shots and online Deathmatch gameplay, minus flying robots and lasers etc. This is boots on the ground, running around and shooting the Germans, the Japanese and gunning for the trenches, in a game of survival and always do mind the falling bombs on your way. We like many gamers are happy that the futuristic overkill is gone and the theme of World War II is back, but what might also come as even better news is that the game, which will be released on November 3rd, 2017, will also feature a new instalment of Zombies as a third game inside ‘Call of Duty: World War II’, apart from Online Multiplayer and the always engaging Story Mode. Let’s take a look at some more game images and an early preview of the game, shall we?
This looks set to be the “mother of all war games” and it gives everyone something to look forward to this coming November. You’ll be able to experience maps from Normandy & Paris in France, Belgium, Germany and will there be another battlefield in Poland, you’d think so, at least, right? Yes, the game will stick to historic battles from the great war, which will placate those COD fans that always yearn for realistic battles, instead of the recent spate of flagon robots. So realistic in fact, that re-generating health may be a thing of the past, according to the first released information, so you won’t be able to hide behind a tree after being shot and expect to get back to full health and hit back immediately. In World War II, if you were shot, you were pretty much done, just like in this game.
The emphasis on the game is realistic and historical, but don’t let that bore you because World War II was truly a gruesome and horrible war, and as we can see, there’s also the flame thrower for those that wish to spice things up a bit. Spicy and burnt to a crisp and we’d also expect plenty of landmines, for those explosive steps that you take in the game.
We honestly can’t wait for this game, plus with the additional future reveal of more about the presumed “Nazi Zombies” side game, so we will most likely pre-order our copy way ahead of time and park our behinds on the sofa for weeks to come, upon its release.
So, the game is being released on November 3rd, but you can pre-order your copy right here. This is set to be the game of 2017 and everyone’s excitement in the gaming world is reaching a “fever pitch” with players of all ages welcoming Call of Duty’s return to realistic and to classic warfare. Will you be buying this game? It looks like one for the gaming collection, indeed.
Brainstain, over and out!
