After many years of waiting, this week saw the release of the trailer for ‘Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite‘ which sees the heroes of the famous comic book adventures and films of Marvel, face off against Capcom’s video game heroes, with characters from Mega Man, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Dead Rising, amongst others in the classic video game fighting format. However, you can choose characters from both worlds and team up in tag teams to do some damage and fight each other in pairs. Here’s the new trailer released this week and for many gamers this is what they have been waiting for.
Looks like once again we’ll be able to pair up Guile and Thor and have them fight against against Ryu and Iron Man to the death or for funsies, whatever tickles your fancy. What comes as welcome news to us is that there will also be a one and two player story mode that looks like it will be a step up from the ones in previous versions of the MvC series. We’re sure fans everywhere will be jumping for joy to pick up their controllers and dive straight into a grand adventure with their favourite characters as opposed to just fighting your friends and randomers online in endless “one on one” or “two on two” fights. Here’s a run down of everything you need to know about the game’s details that have been released thus far.
The game is set to be released on September 19th, 2017 for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. As expected, the creators have gone out of their way to take the world of famous Capcom gaming characters and merged it with the equally famous world of Marvel heroes, with possible teasers to old characters from previous entries to make a return (plus some brand new ones as well of course). The possibilities with the game are expected to be quite vast, for example, you can be the Hulk and then ravage Chun-Li if you so wish. With the infamous Infinity Stones coming into play for this game, it goes without saying that you’ll have a chance to possess unmatchable power as you assimilate your combo’s with some good old button bashing techniques to fell your opponent.
What we really want to know is if Wesker will be in the game again and how many of the fighters from Tekken will we get, if any?
If Street Fighter is your thing, then this game is definitely for you.
