Former Hollywood 80’s heart-throb Rob Lowe, who still has scores of fans even at the prime age of 53, has now embarked on an exciting new venture with his two sons, Matthew 23, and John Owen, 21, in the production of an A&E documentary TV series exploring mysterious phenomena across the United States of America.
Now whilst up in the Ozarks, which is a geological highland plateau region in Arkansas that stretches to Missouri and Oklahoma, where the Lowe clan apparently encountered what they were looking for, which locals had referred to as the “wood ape”. But ever the paranormal and logical sceptic to a thing like Bigfoot, Rob Lowe didn’t expect to actually find or encounter one, but guess what? He did!
Now perhaps, this is just a shameless plug to promote his new TV docu-series show called The Lowe Files, but Rob told Entertainment Weekly, after encountering this “ape man” or “wood ape”, that, “I thought I was going to be killed”.
Apparently, Rob Lowe ended up on the ground and feared for his life, when the “wood ape” finally showed up. Rob said, “I’m fully aware that I sound like a crazy Hollywood kook right now”
Only the TV show will disclose that Rob, eh? However, if this were true, could any number of cameras actually have picked up any of this convincingly?
Now, we’re not saying that Rob Lowe is lying, since there really might be a large ape residing up in the Ozarks, as locals also claim to believe in, but how do we know for sure? We guess, Rob wants us to tune into his new TV show, to find out and we may just do that, since we’d easily be able to pick this show apart from fact, fake to fiction. That’s really all apart of the joy in working here at Brainstain, since we call out all the bullsh*t whenever we see it, since it’s really our jobs to do just that.
Rob Lowe told Entertainment Weekly even more, “A wood ape is the local vernacular for a Sasquatch or a Bigfoot. This is what I love about our show. We have fun with all of this.”
Seeing people have fun does sound good to us, even in the Paranormal realm, so we are now very intrigued, indeed.
Rob continued, “We hit the bullseye between true believer and skeptic in a fun way. [The locals] talk to you about the wood ape in all seriousness. If you call it a Bigfoot or a Sasquatch, they roll their eyes… as if that makes it less outrageous.”
So, perhaps Rob Lowe isn’t just “BS’ing” here, then? Since Rob said that it was when the wood ape came back, looking for them in return, which was when things got a little hairy and scary, so to speak. Rob divulged,
“We’re 100 miles from the nearest town. We spent 45 minutes on the most rugged, brutal mountain trails. It’s one in the morning. There are a lot of serious former military men with loaded weapons, then something starts approaching our camps that is defying their orders to stop and their warnings that [they were] armed.’
Could it have been a man wearing an ape costume? Who knows?
However, Rob Lowe stopped short of spoiling what happened next and is saving that information for the opening episode, which will air on August 2nd on the A & E channel.
Let’s now see the trailer and in watching it, all we can think of is just a “major cringe”, as this is probably the worst trailer for anything that we have ever seen.
We could’ve made you a better trailer, Rob. That was horrible! As for watching your new show, it doesn’t seem convincing in the least just yet, but we’ll look forward to seeing this new amazing thing that you have unleashed onto the world.
Rob Lowe insists that the show is all true and no “BS”, so he said earlier, whilst the show will also cover if ghosts are really real and many other mysteries, waiting to be solved. Wow! We get the feeling that we’ve already seen all of this before, don’t you?
But Rob might be onto something truly new and original here, sort of like a real life Mulder & Scully series, but with his sons and not with an X, but with an L for Lowe, right?
So, let’s see, shall we?
Brainstain, over and out!
