On May 31st, 2017, Kendall Jenner signed a contract to be a brand ambassador for Adidas Originals, and if there’s one thing we love here at Brainstain, it is Adidas. So to see Kendall Jenner reppin’ the brand in a sizzling and cute campaign all at the same time, we thought we’d share it far and wide. One look and you’ll agree that it definitely suits her, as well as us.
Adidas have been able to promote themselves numerous times with the help of athletes, musicians, and now popular celebrities such as Kendall Jenner to keep their brand at the forefront of people’s attention on their ever evolving Adidas Originals range. Ol’ Kendall Jenner fits right into the mould, and the clothes fit her very snuggly too.
Hopefully this will spark more girls to rock the sports wear brand, as there’s really nothing more sexy than a girl wearing a pair of Adidas Originals three striped sneakers, or Originals sports bottoms is there? If there is anything more sexy than that, then please let us know in the comments section, since you’ll be hard pressed to beat Adidas. It’s just never going to happen.
The German sports wear maker has kept itself relevant for eons. Much like Coke and Pepsi, most people either choose Nike or Adidas for their choice of footwear. Let’s just say that here at Brainstain, we rock Adidas too, and proudly at that. We might not look like Kendall Jenner or Young Thug, but it’s all about the Adidas, and as they continue to roll out new campaigns like this one, we expect items to fly off the shelves thick and fast.
It’s quite a coup for Adidas to have a supermodel sporting their brand. Without hesitation, Kendall gladly accepted being a brand ambassador. You would think it would be hard work, but it does come with some interesting perks, such as posing in a hibernation pod to symbolising the rebirth of Adidas to a new generation. It’s said that the campaign is inspired by Boticelli’s iconic Birth of Venus, and from Lenoardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, but all rolled into one. Pretty interesting stuff.
Other names in the “My Way” campaign include NBA player James Harden, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Playboy Carti, amongst other recognisable faces. Kanye West, whose Yeezy shoes have been made by the Adidas department, now also have Kendall Jenner on their books too, whilst sister Kylie is signed up to the other German brand, Puma.
Now whilst we are more Run DMC & Korn than 21 Savage and Playboy Carti, still we’re just pure sports lovers of the Adidas brand, so the prospect of just seeing Adidas at work in these new campaigns with new people fronting the brand, it’s a joy to behold in itself. I mean, who doesn’t think that Kendall Jenner looks great in three stripes?
That just about sums it up from us. Hopefully we can get our hands on some new Adidas Originals soon, too.
Brainstain, over and out!
