Brad and Angelina’s Divorce Is OFF?

For once, it’s not a story about a Hollywood split or divorce; it is about calling off a divorce. Well, for now anyway. A-list couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, commonly known as Brangelina, announced their split last year after twelve years of being together and with two years of marriage. They filed for divorce in September of 2016, much to the shock of people all around the world. However, now divorce proceedings have halted, creating the speculation that the couple will be reuniting in the near future.

In an interview with GQ, Brad Pitt confesses he quit drinking and he has been seeing a therapist. Reportedly, this is the reason reconciliation is on the cards for Angelina. He says: “You know, I just started therapy. I love it, I love it.” That’s a first time we’ve ever heard anyone say that, so Brad must have a very good therapist.

He continues: “I went through two therapists to get the right one.” Sounds like he should have held auditions. Getting all cliché about love, Brad adds: “if you love someone, set them free. Now I know what it means, by feeling it. It means to love without ownership, it means expecting nothing in return. I doesn’t mean f*** all until you live it.” Cheesiness over.

A inside source tells US Weekly says: “The divorce is off. They haven’t done anything to move it forward in several months and no one thinks they are ever going to.” Angelina also responded in the press recently to the news that Brad has quit drinking, whilst over summer festival events and in private appearances, he was seen drinking tea as opposed to beers and wine. The news set off Angelina to release this comment, “it’s all I ever wanted”.

However, previously Angelina was seen to be on a completely different wavelength as she recently told Vanity Fair that “things got bad” during their marriage and that she was still in the process of “healing”. She added: “It’s just been the hardest time, and we’re kind of coming up for air.”

So is there still bad blood between the high profile couple? Things haven’t been all too great between the two as Brad was reportedly “really hurt” by Angelina not inviting him to son Maddox’s 16th birthday party on August 5th, earlier this month. Making him feel like he missed out on the “first big milestone birthday event, since their divorce”.

A source told the celebrity gossip website: “Despite his [Brad] pleading, Angie simply will not set aside her differences, put the past behind her and get together with Brad for the kids.” Yep, that sure sounds like she is ready to get back together with him. This source is obviously biased towards Brad as they continue a pity party for him, “Brad wants to be apart of the big day. But it’s not going to happen, so this birthday will be another reminder to Brad that his family will never be the same.”

Was fame to blame for their spilt? Or was it not having enough alone time together? According to the recently reported Chris Pratt and Anna Faris’s split, their reason behind their separation was that being a couple in the public eye, was too hard for them. But surely this doesn’t apply to Brad and Angelina, since they are used to the spotlight, right? So, will Brangelina reunite and be a family again with their soccer side of kids? Well, not if Angelina keeps “forgetting” to invite Brad to any to their kid’s milestone birthday parties, then they certainly won’t be reuniting anytime soon. But, watch this space!

As there could still be life in “Brangelina” yet, but much like Mrs. Doubtfire, how do you rekindle from a divorce or serious split and then make it work again? Please send us answers on a postcard.
