Katy Perry vs. Taylor Swift: The Feud of Good vs. Evil Continues

Well, well, well… While most of you were sleeping, known Establishment pawn Katy Perry, who used to be a pop star, released her bizarre video for ‘Swish Swish’, a pop music diss track aimed at Taylor Swift, as a result of their ongoing feud since Katy Perry stole Taylor Swift’s back up dancers on tour and reportedly other business managers and then tried to turn people against her. Break out the cat claws people, and it’s our job to go over the popular stories of any given moment, so let’s break this down, like you know, only we can…

Yes, apart from this being about whose side are you really on, whether it be Katy Perry’s or Taylor Swift’s, one thing is very clear, is that it’s about a lot more than that. In fact, it’s about Good vs. Evil and also about protecting our children from Satanic role models, such as Katy Perry. Anyway, the times when Katy Perry “kissed a girl and liked it” seem to be well and truly over, both musically and even though her haircut suggests that she’s a full-blown ______, it doesn’t make her a symbol of feminism or anything positive at all. Anyways, let’s see this new video feast from Katy Perry, which is well made and very high budget, but upon review it’s a total mish-mash of randomness and her point of “Swish Swish” really doesn’t find its way home, in the least. So, let’s take a look at this travesty in motion, which samples Fatboy Slim with the “They know what is what, But they don’t know what is what, they just strut. What the fuck?” How original, Miss Perry!

Sure, that was all in good fun, right? So apart from Katy Perry acting like her silly self, this might be good a thing, yet it doesn’t shy away from the fact that she was Hillary Clinton’s campaign singer and that these lyrics are purely unoriginal and pretty much lame. Come on Katy, what happened to your artistic integrity? This video then relies on Nicki Minaj, with her verse, but she’s surely happy just to pick up yet another pay-cheque. Since, never before has there ever been anyone more ludicrous (Anaconda twerkin’) and childish female so-called “rapper”, something which Nicki does so well. In the video, there are echoes of the film Space Jam and with the Sheep team meant to represent Taylor Swift’s team based from her video Bad Blood and Katy’s team are the Tigers. But, is this video not just some whimsical fantasy inside Katy Perry’s head? What a circus, eh? Props for the colours and the high production value, if nothing else. It’s just a terribly crass-song!

Have you figured out who is actually any good, yet? Well, in the early morning after Katy’s music video dropped, days ago Taylor Swift had announced her new album ‘Reputation’ and post Perry’s video dropping on VEVO last night, Taylor unleashed this new track in the morning, presumably aimed at Katy Perry, right? Listen for yourself…

A pretty stellar pop song response from Taylor Swift there! With lyrics like, “I’ll be the actress starring in your bad dreams” and with the bridge outro of – “I’m sorry the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh, ‘cuz she’s dead!”

And also, “But no, not for me. Not for me. All I think about is Karma.”

The cat claws are well and truly out! The Kardashians are seemingly also involved after sending out a bunch of snake symbols on social media, aimed at Taylor Swift, which sees this video up above also reflect snakes in the grass within the animated lyrics. Kanye West has of course, been an opposer of Taylor Swift after upstaging her at the VMAs, all those years ago. A bad move Kanye, which people still reflect on with major eye rolls into another dimension.

So, this is some pure Hollywood style beef, played out with diss tracks and so now you have to pick a side (haw haw), are you team Perry or team Taylor? We’ve already picked a side, you see?

Brainstain, over and out!
