Oh yeah! The time has come for us to revisit one of our all time favourite game franchises yet again, with the newly remastered Resident Evil: Revelations; a game which was originally released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2012 will now be made available to play on August 31st for PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Result!
You will once again be playing as Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as you navigate your way through zombies and monsters infected with a new virus. It wouldn’t be surprising to us in the slightest if it’s Umbrella behind it again. In this (sort of) new entry to the survival horror series from Capcom, you’ll be aboard a humongous abandoned cruise ship called the Queen Zenobia. What tricks and traps will this place hold, we wonder? Let’s check the trailer out.
Wasn’t that something? There’s a lot going on here that we like, and with the next generation graphics that the PS4 and Xbox One brings, this will be like a totally new game, even if you’ve already played it on the Nintendo 3DS back in 2012.
Now that we’ve seen the trailer and some exciting cut scenes, what about the gameplay? How does it look, and what can we expect to see if we were to pick this game up for ourselves? Let’s dive right into this gameplay video and take a look.
The game also lets you play co-op in Raid Mode, as well as challenge your single player skills in Survival Mode, so you won’t be getting bored after you clear the main game. It also lets you switch between Chris and Jill at your leisure too, so you won’t get tired of playing as just the one main character during the entire time. The game definitely has the fear factor, making you feel like danger could lurk behind every corner, and that’s exactly what you want when playing a Resident Evil game. This remastered masterpiece on PS4 and Xbox One should have you on your toes the entire time until your complete the game, that is, if you’ll even make it that far. There’ll be puzzles and mysteries all over the ship to uncover whilst you fight off hoards of zombies and other monsters with your very limited supply of ammo, just like the RE games of old. What’s not to like about that?
Brainstain, over and out!
