We were beginning to think it had almost been a long time since the last Islamic terror attack, and then yesterday in New York City on Houston Street and the West Side Highway at 3:05pm, another violent Islamist terrorist drove a rented truck onto a bicycle path, mowing 8 people down dead and injuring at least 15.
Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, 29, from Uzbekistan, who moved to America in 2010, owned two registered truck companies in Ohio, and worked as an Uber driver, finalised his mile long truck rampage of seventeen blocks by smashing into a school bus filled with children on Chambers Street, injuring three of them, one critically.
He then ran out of the car yelling, “Allahu Akbar” with two false guns, until he was shot in the stomach by a nearby Police officer, Ryan Nash, 28, who was attending to a suicidal High School student call, not far away from where the incident took place.
The suspect was shot, detained, hospitalised, brought into surgery, and survived the ordeal. At least 6 foreign nationals were killed, 5 of which hailing from Argentina, who were on a 30 year High School reunion trip to the Big Apple.
In Sayfullo’s truck which was used in the attack, they found a picture of an ISIS flag and a note in English stating that the attack was for ISIS, and pledging his allegiance to the terror group.
Police are now searching his apartment in Paterson for further clues. The Police have also been investigating a Home Depot in Passaic, New Jersey, where he picked up the truck, as well as his other vehicle that he may have left behind in the parking lot.
President Donald Trump tweeted after the incident which happened in his home city. Yet again, the Donald is absolutely correct by calling out “political correctness” as an aide to Islamic terror, but his other Tweets read:
We must not allow ISIS to return, or enter, our country after defeating them in the Middle East and elsewhere. Enough!

The President’s warning to all nations (not just America), is to not allow terrorist fighters back into any of their “home” countries. Uzbekistan has long been known to harbour Islamic extremists, but Sayfullo Saipov was described by his former Uzbek neighbour Kobilijon Matkarov, of Maimsburg, Ohio, where Siapov used to live, as a great guy, telling The New York Post,”‘He is very good guy, he is very friendly… he is like little brother… he look at me like big brother”.
Matkarov added: “My kids like him too, he is always playing with them. He is playing all the time,’ he said – but added that when one of the children asked to take a photo with him, Saipov refused. ‘He no like that. He said no”.
However, the manager of Saipov’s local grocery store in Paterson, New Jersey, described him as “erratic” and “aggressive”, she said, “Every time he came here he was always erratic or arguing with the cashiers” she told the Post.
She added, “He would get angry very fast…. he would break the cans, dumb things. I feel like he was prejudiced to the cashiers – whether they were covered or not in a hijab – he would belittle them. He was talking good English, proper, but he would call the cashiers dumb, uneducated – how they didn’t know how to scan the items.”
Clearly the man was not well liked in the community, as the manager of the grocery store also said, “Soda was the problem. He would come here and buy soda. He would give us a hard time on the 12-pack Canada Dry – if it was one price he would want his own price. It was always the soda, always a problem with the 12-pack of cans. Always a problem.”
Uber released the following statement in regard to the attack: “We are horrified by this senseless of violence. Our hearts are with the victims and their families. We have reached out to law enforcement to provide our full assistance.”
Despite the attack, New Yorkers attended the annual Halloween parade, went trick or treating, and attended parties. New York City Mayor, Bill De Blasio, stated, “New Yorkers are strong, New Yorkers are resilient. Our spirit will never be moved by an act of violence”.
The claims that Islam is a religion of peace, or a peaceful ideology, must surely soon be revoked as a popular statement to make these days. After numerous terror attacks have struck city’s across the world, and one really has to wonder, what is the solution? There are numerous solutions, but leaders of the affected countries, and the rest of the world, need to start to act now to minimise these terror threats.
A sad day for the world, as yet another terror attack has occurred. When will liberals and socialists wake up and realise that more needs to be done in order to keep people safe in the face of Islamic extremism? When will the gig be up in letting political correctness and socialism give easy access for Islam and Islamic terror attacks to keep troubling our civilised world in the West?
