Leonardo DiCaprio’s Foundation Organised Dates with Weinstein and Spacey

Private jet flying, climate change shill and Hollywood actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, does a multitude of conservation efforts with the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, such as ocean preservation, fighting for the rights of indigenous people, helping to sustain endangered wildlife, and wholeheartedly pushing the green envelope of global warming, but that’s not all that the foundation has done in recent times. Today, it’s been revealed that the LDF also organised auctions for dates with Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey at special fundraisers.

Yes, an actor that has seemingly escaped any wrongdoing in the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements (probably because he has a whole selection of subservient Victoria’s Secret models to choose from all year long), has now unfortunately had his foundation come into question for sort of economically pimping off (or better yet, auctioning off) special dates to some lucky winners, who would get the chance to get close to two very scandalised individuals, Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein.

As you all know, Kevin Spacey came under some serious allegations from underage boys and other male actors for sexual harassment in Hollywood, New York and at The Old Vic in London, whilst the Harvey Weinstein repertoire of the infamous casting couch power games knows no bounds, with over 73 women accusing him of various sexual indecencies. In a sense, Leonardo DiCaprio can consider himself to be very unlucky right now.

However, as these photos show, perhaps Leonardo should’ve known better than to auction dates off to the two very people who encompass the notion of some of Hollywood’s worst kept secrets. It was all bound to come out one day, wasn’t it?

In 2015, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, famous for its green efforts in the world’s scape, decided it was a good idea to organise and auction off date prizes for a once in a lifetime chance to meet with Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein. This type of event has happened no less than three times in total since 2015.

Surely these coveted prizes of Spacey and Weinstein were considered a big hit, otherwise, why would they take place two more times after 2015?

The prizes auctioned off seemed innocent enough. In 2016, a lucky winner got a package deal where Kevin Spacey went to the winners home, and put on a private screening for them, whilst in the case of Harvey Weinstein, it included dates to The Met Ball, seats at his company’s table during the Oscars party, amongst other things.

We highly doubt that Harvey Weinstein’s winners were men, or that Kevin Spacey’s were women, but you never know, do you? We highly doubt it anyway.

The lucrative prizes were auctioned off in sunny St. Tropez, in southern France, which is no doubt a place where Harvey Weinstein would’ve been in familiar territory in the ol’ Cote D’Azur, a place where he would usually stock up on penile injections and do film promotions to lure sexy actresses into private meetings in closed hotel rooms. We know the drill by now.

However, nothing suggests that there was anything untoward happening during the auctioning off by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation. Page Six reported that potential winners could bid to be given the chance to spend a year working for and spending time with Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey.

The event held each year is flooded with Hollywood’s biggest stars, and bring in tens of millions of dollars for DiCaprio’s charity, which donates money to various environmental causes.

The ‘Courtesy of Harvey Weinstein’ prize was offered in 2015 and 2016, which let the lucky winner share a table with the infamous producer on the night before the Oscars, as well as walk the red carpet with him at The Met Ball.

Weinstein’s ex-wife, Georgina Chapman, was also involved in the donation to DiCaprio’s charity, with the catalog in 2016 reading: “For the lady attending the parties, be dressed in a one-of-a-kind couture Marchesa dress – and take it home afterwards.”

In the same year, a special package also included two tickets to the Super Bowl, two invites to The White House Correspondents Dinner, and two front row seats to the ‘Project Runway’ finale. As a final bonus, the winner was also invited to see how a movie was made on set with Harvey Weinstein, with the catalog reading, “see how a movie is made in front of your eyes.”

Rather that than just meeting Harvey Weinstein in a green room somewhere, or even worse, on the actual casting couch, one would think?

Additional prizes also included two one-month internships at the Weinstein Company in either New York, London or Los Angeles. It’s still not clear as to how much money was bid, but according to Variety, a winner in 2015 outbid everyone with a healthy sum of around $1.1 million in order to obtain a similar prize at one of Leonardo DiCaprio’s Foundation events.

In 2016, you could have had Kevin Spacey in your living room, putting on a theatre performance, but you’d better hope that you didn’t invite your teenage sons to the charade or anything… Only kidding, but how will this look on the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation now?

Will the LDF continue in trying to prove what Al Gore’s has always said; that global warming is a very real danger to our planet? Probably… Even though the man who formed The Weather Channel, John Coleman, refuted the basis of global warming even being real, and instead disputed the terminology live on CNN as being basically nothing more than “hogwash.”

The LDF has recently come out to say the following in regards to this strange fundraiser reveal: “LDF never received payment for any auction lots donated by Mr. Weinstein or Mr. Spacey, which were included in our 2015 and 2016 catalogues.”

Leonardo DiCaprio also released this statement when the news of the Harvey Weinstein scandal broke: “There is no excuse for sexual harassment or sexual assault — no matter who you are and no matter what profession. I applaud the strength and courage of the women who came forward and made their voices heard.”

Will this latest news hurt the LDF, or will the never ending hunt for the much dismissed proof of global warming still carry on, regardless? Let’s wait and see… But, what we hope most for further great acting performances from Le DiCaprio’s in his upcoming films.

Brainstain, over and out!
