R&B singer Chris Brown is being sued after a woman claimed she was raped during a party at his home in February of 2017. The unnamed victim (known only as Jane Doe) said she went to his house after a recording studio session and was assaulted by Chris Brown’s friend, rapper Lowell Grissom (aka Young Lo).
A lawsuit was filed at the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday. It alleges that the woman’s phone was taken away from her when she arrived at Brown’s home, then when she had asked to leave, she was told that she couldn’t have the phone back. There in Chris’ house, it is alleged that she and four other women were locked up into a bedroom with a couch barricading the door in order to stop them from leaving.
The woman (Jane Doe) also claims that a female friend of Chris’ forced her to perform oral sex on her whilst she was menstruating, by sitting on top of her face, whilst Young Lo molested her and he then later forced her to perform oral sex on him too. Also later, when she got her phone back, she was physically raped by Young Lo without the female present.
Some time later, she was finally allowed to leave and she went straight to the police station and a rape centre to file her report.
Whilst Chris Brown himself seems only to be guilty by association and did not participate in any sexual assault, the incident still occurred in his residence, and with the claims that the singer provided alcohol and illegal drugs, as well as being seen with guns in front of the house guests, he is now intertwined in this horrible incident by association.
The victim’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, who seems to be the-go-to lawyer for sexual assault or rape allegations these days (for women want to extort money from famous celebrities), also represented the obese woman who lost her strange claim of a STD case against Usher (which was thrown out). Allred is currently now representing this new client, which she said was “one of the most horrific cases” that she has ever heard of.
“At some point our client was invited to attend an ‘after party’ at a recording studio to meet Young Lo and Chris Brown,” Gloria Allred stated at a press conference. “The lawsuit alleges that while she was at Brown’s house the plaintiff became the victim of horrific sexual assault.”
It accuses Chris Brown and others of a number of allegations, including sexual battery, assault and gender violence, and that the victim is seeking up to $50,000 in civil penalties, after “Jane” initially wanted $17 million in damages after contacting Chris Brown and his lawyer.
“This is one of the most horrific sexual assault cases that I have ever seen,” Mrs. Allred commented. “Our client Jane Doe has been severely traumatized by what she was forced to suffer.”
The victim says she was she was raped by Young Lo twice during that night, and that her phone was not returned to her until after her mother called the police.
Chris Brown’s lawyer, Mark Gregaros told TMZ that the allegations are not true, saying, “In another era, we might have called this a shakedown.”
“None of these allegations are true. Nobody has done anything with this… there’s no case here. Chris is a target.”
Could Chris Brown simply be a target for his money, or should he be guilty because of the actions of other people? Could this be a setup, or is it just a regrettable incident that one of his supposed friends committed? You be the judge.
