On September 24th, 2018, seven year old singer Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja from Los Angeles, performed the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ before the LA Galaxy vs. Seattle Sounders MLS soccer match, and let’s just say, it’s an incredibly patriotic rendition, so naturally we had to help share it further.
At a time when a secret cabal in America is actively trying to obstruct “freedom” and the US constitution, it’s moments like these from 7-year old singer, Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja, that can remind everyone of the “freedom” which is at stake. Take it away, Malea!
The LA Galaxy ended up winning the match 3-0, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring a penalty only 9 minutes into the game, earning the team a revival after their seven-game winless streak.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic thoroughly enjoyed Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja’s performance of the national anthem, and tweeted out calling her the ‘MVP of the game’.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be seen smiling as Malea sang the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ in front of the 25,000 strong crowd at the StubHub Center, and surely, her singing was an inspiration in bringing victory to the LA Galaxy.
It was a sweet revenge for Zlatan and LA Galaxy on the day after they had lost to Seattle Sounders away 5-0 earlier on in the season. Strikers Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ola Kamara scored the first two, followed by the final goal from Emmanuel Boateng, making the LA Galaxy worthy winners.
However, the undoubted champion of the day, was most definitely Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja, for her impressive performance of the national anthem.
