In case you missed it yesterday, President Donald Trump made an epic speech at the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, to a packed hall of listeners, where he touched on numerous important points, but none more important than the tone, focus and intent of being for “freedom”, “sovereignty” and being against that of “globalism”.
Donald Trump said most famously in his address, “America is governed by Americans. We reject the ideology of globalism and accept the doctrine of patriotism.”
Donald Trump also touched upon immigration, refugees, Iran, Syria, peace with North Korea, and the trade war with China and other countries, lamenting that the USA has been taken advantage of on trade for many decades. Trump also talked about the crimes of human trafficking, illegal immigration, drugs and general migration.
During his speech, the overall resonance of the message was the will and demand of countries to govern themselves, with Trump’s words, “Together, let us choose a future of patriotism, prosperity, and pride.”
“Let us choose peace and freedom over domination and defeat. And let us come here to this place to stand for our people and their nations, forever strong, forever sovereign, forever just, and forever thankful for the grace and the goodness and the glory of God.”
Nigel Farage described Donald Trump’s UN address as “music to my ears”, and we definitely feel exactly the same way. Globalism has been proven to be hugely unsuccessful in many countries that are governed by a foreign power or international body. Moreover, globalism and its alignment with socialism is a total failure.
This is what Donald Trump touched upon when he spoke of Venezuela, a nation that has seen socialism bankrupt their once oil rich nation, and thrown them into extreme poverty, which has already seen the fleeing of 2 million citizens from the country.
Trump speech echoes a clear opposition to totalitarian globalism, as well as a strong objection to socialism, and he said it right to the United Nations. Perfect!
Trump then also encouraged other nations to, “Make their countries great again.”
You can watch the full speech below and marvel at this UN speech about “freedom” from Donald Trump, the leader of the free world. Wouldn’t it be good if the world remained that way?
